Gathering spaces in parks play a vital role in building community and connections. When designed well, they become welcoming places where everyone feels like they belong — regardless of age, background, or ability.

Through our Park Design Consultation & Workshop, Park Pride has paired seven community groups with volunteer landscape architects to produce conceptual plans to reimagine their park’s gathering spaces. On Wednesday, August 27, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., our Friends groups will present these plans!

This event is free and open to registered Friends of Park groups. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from your peers about ways to make your park’s gathering spaces more memorable, safe, accessible, and welcoming!
