Name(Required)

Let’s explore Atlanta’s largest park!

Join us on Friday, September 12 at 9 a.m. for a one-hour walk at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (formerly Westside Park)! The 280-acre park was developed on the site of the former Bellwood Quarry and features a reservoir, trails, meadows and incredible views of the Atlanta skyline. Recently renamed in honor of Atlanta’s 56th mayor, the park stands as a testament to both natural beauty and civic legacy. Thanks to the leadership of Friends of Shirley Clarke Franklin Park, this space continues to evolve as a gathering place, a sanctuary, and a shining example of community-driven transformation.

Our walk will be approximately one mile along a paved route with a few steep hills. We’ll see you there! Bring your coffee and your walking shoes.

NOTE: We’ll meet by the Phoenix statue near the parking lot. The address 1660 Johnson Rd NW will direct you there.
