The Roswell Connection: Walking Tour
This walking tour is organized in conjunction with Park Pride’s 16th Annual Parks & Greenspace Conference.
The City of Roswell is taking improving the quality of life of their residents seriously. They recognize that citizens are yearning for great, walkable, bikable and accessible communities.
Join this walking tour to see an example of how Roswell is responding to their citizens’ needs with the new River Walk.
At River Walk, attendees will experience a meandering trail along the Chattahoochee River that connects six parks and also provides access to the beautiful Bull Sluice Lake and the Chattachoochee Nature Center via a 3/4 mile long boardwalk. Nature is abundant along the trail and river, making it a popular attraction for birders and wildlife lovers of all kinds. Experts from the Chattahoochee Nature Center and the Atlanta Audubon Society will guide participants through a nature exploration!
The tour will begin in Candler Park where we’ll board a tour bus, generously donated by the City of Roswell, and learn more about the projects en route. The tour bus will return to Candler Park at 4 P.M.

P.S. This tour is being organized in conjunction with the Park Pride’s 16th Annual Parks and Greenspace Conference, Connecting with Parks, which will explore how parks and greenspace bridge gaps between individuals, communities, political jurisdictions, and ecosystems to become places of regional importance. The conference will take place on Monday, March 27th at the Atlanta Botanical Garden from 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. You’re invited to join us for a full day of networking with park enthusiasts who are driven to improve our greenspaces! Learn more.
