Henderson Park, located in Tucker, GA (DeKalb County) is a large, over 120-acre, park which, in addition to recreational facilities, includes several areas with high value forest remnants and rich native plant communities. Tributary streams of the North Fork of Peachtree Creek and a large lake bisect the park and help create a rich and diverse ecosystem here.

Join EcoAddendum for this natualist walk of approximately 1.5 miles on natural trails on the east side of the park through several woodland areas, then along a creek, and ending at the lower edge of the lake. You might be lucky enough to find some native sumac berries and make a tart but refreshing “lemonade” tea at the end of the walk.
