Volunteer Day on the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, powered by REI
Event Navigation
It’s time to give back and give thanks for all that parks, greenspaces, and trails bring to our city!
The Gateway Trail connects Historic 4th Ward Park to the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. This heavily-used access point across from New Realm Brewing boasts naturalistic plantings and artist Leslie Tharp’s “Startle” deer sculptures. The area is currently overgrown with both native and non-native vegetation, obscuring artwork and signage, crowding trees, and limiting visibility for those entering and exiting the trail.
Volunteers are needed to help thin out overgrown vegetation and remove non-native plants, benefiting both the BeltLine arboretum and trail visitors. Please join Park Pride, the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, and Trees Atlanta in improving this important amenity on the Eastside Trail!
This is a family-friendly volunteer event with opportunities for all ages.
This workday wouldn’t be possible without the support of REI – thank you for supporting the greener good of our parks and trails!
