Community Meeting for Hairston Park

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a community meeting to review upcoming park improvements for Hairston Park, according to a press release. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the DeKalb Watershed Management Building, 4572 Memorial Drive, Decatur. The meeting will take place in conference room A.
Information will be provided on current park improvements and recreation projects.
The 33-acre park, located along South Hairston Road southwest of Stone Mountain is near the Greater Hidden Hills Community. In May 2017, the DeKalb Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to fund major upgrades including a new playground, gazebo and park benches in the central DeKalb County park.
