Fall is the PERFECT time for planting! A long cold winter enables plants to develop dense root systems for strong healthy growth in the spring. Native plants adapt easily, require less maintenance, and exhibit lower pest loads. All proceeds support gardens, education, and conservation by the Horticulture department.  Horticulturists and Master Gardeners will be on site to answer all your plant questions.

CNC volunteers and staff have been busy propagating new and exciting plants, especially those that attract native pollinators, like native milkweed. We will also have a small selection of native shrubs and trees, like native azaleas.

Our Fall Native Plant Sale takes place at the Chattahoochee Nature Center Greenhouse. Admission is free to the horticulture area and the sale is a great way to meet Master Gardeners who can give you advice for your garden questions. Contact 770-992-2055 x229 with your questions about our horticulture division.

Follow the signs to the greenhouse and enjoy the Fall Native Plant Sale.
