2019 marks Park Pride’s 30th anniversary of engaging communities to activate the power of parks!
We’re excited to take a look back over the decades to showcase some of our accomplishments… including the over $6.6 million awarded to community groups through Park Pride’s grantmaking programs for park improvements!
Park Pride matching grants range from $100 – $100,000 and enable communities in the City of Atlanta, City of Brookhaven, City of Tucker, and unincorporated DeKalb County to fund positive changes in their neighborhood parks. These dollars help fund:
- bridges and piers,
- informational kiosks and signage,
- exercise equipment,
- community gardens,
- game fields,
- green infrastructure amenities to help manage stormwater runoff,
- and so much more!!
We’re so appreciative of the funders who have supported our grantmaking programs over the years: The Woodruff Foundation, The Home Depot Foundation, the Cecil B. Day Foundation, and others. Friends of the Park groups could not have accomplished as much as they have (new playgrounds, bridges, informational kiosks, trails, exercise equipment, community gardens, game fields, pavilions, and so much more!!!) without your support.
