EcoAddendum

Did you know Atlanta’s Westside parks have some of the highest value urban forest of any city in the United States? Join Eco-Addendum for a fun and informative series of walks through several of our premiere neighborhood greenspaces. Learn more about the Nature of our City from its trees and songbirds to what it offers for health. You might be surprised to know we have old growth forest remnants here in metro Atlanta and just breathing in air from a healthy forest may help protect you from cancer. Join the Atlanta City DStudio and Eco-Addendum’s Kathryn Kolb on guided tours to five local parks and greenspaces.

The first tour location is at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, a small slice of a north Georgia experience right in the city. This tour will walk approximately two miles on nature trails through a rich cover with uncommon native wildflowers and trees. Then, attendees will enjoy a hike up a short ridge past great oaks to visit a spectacular old growth Beech tree nestled in an outcrop of large boulders. The tour will finish the loop along the stream-side trail that holds an entirely different type of forest.

Space is VERY limited. People wishing to participate must RSVP using the donation link below. There is no charge to attend this event, however, a donation of $15 is suggested.
