Atlanta Audubon Society Master Birder Stephen W. Ramsden will host a free, state of the art Solar Astronomy Workshop and Eclipse Primer at Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta. Mr. Ramsden is the founder and director of the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project, named in memory of a friend and victim of veteran suicide.

Mr. Ramsden will have several single wavelength, state-of the-art solar chromospheric and photospheric telescopes for you to observe the endless magnetic ferocity on our nearest star. He will also provide high-definition video cameras for monitoring the solar atmosphere. Come by the event to pick up your free solar eclipse glasses and spectrographs for use during the eclipse and to chat with a world-renowned solar astronomer and eclipse expert.
