Design Award Agreement "*" indicates required fields PhoneThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Today's Date* Month Day Year Contact Name:*Email* Friends of the Park Group Name*Park / Greenspace Name*Award Amount*Park Pride is a non-profit organization. The time and costs associated with the facilitation of the Design Award are provided to the park at no cost to the park or its Friend of the Park Group. The Friends of the Park Group is the client. A representative from the Friends Group must attend all scheduled meetings between the Design Firm, Park Pride, and the Parks Department. If the representative for your Friends Group cannot attend a meeting, the meeting will be re-scheduled. If the representative does not attend two consecutive scheduled meetings, Park Pride reserves the right to stop the Design Award process for that park. I understand that accepting the Design Award holds with it certain responsibilities and obligations. I understand that these conditions are in place to ensure consistency through the process and to eliminate the need to re-visit issues once decisions are agreed upon. As the Friends of the Park representative, I agree to: 1. Attend Scheduled Meetings with Design Partners Consistent attendance at scheduled meetings is essential to the success of the Design Award process. Community members are expected to attend three meetings: kick off, schematic review, and 80% construction design review. Missing more than two meetings will indicate that the Friends Group does not have the capacity to participate at the level required of a Design Award Grantee, and the Design Award process may be stopped. 2. Host a Community Meeting to Obtain Input on Schematic Design Continued community input and feedback is a core component of the Design Award. The Friends of the Park Group will need to host a community meeting to obtain additional community feedback on the schematic design (the next step in the design process) before moving to more technical documents needed for permitting. Park Pride and the Design firm hired will support the FOP group plan and implement the community event, providing some financial support for the event. 3. Communicate with Community as Design Process Unfolds FOP Design Award Representatives must maintain communication with their FOP groups and larger community as the design award process unfolds. Representatives are encouraged to get to know their community members better, especially how people feel about their neighborhood park. To this end, the community feedback on designs and documentation is open and inclusive. Groups participating in a Design Award must allow all community members to give feedback on the design even if their views differ.
