It’s almost February and love is in the air… so we’re calling on all volunteers to show some love to your park!
Join neighbors, friends, and family in this Atlanta-wide volunteer initiative to beautify our city, build community, and give back to the parks that give so much to us. City parks will be beautified in February with volunteer projects for all ages and abilities.

Saturday, Feb. 1
Whittier Mill Park (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
Whittier Mill Park – 2975 Wales Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Let’s show some love to Whittier Mill Park’s 22 acres of greenspace! Volunteers will work together to remove invasive species using hand saws, loppers and weed wrench tools.

Let’s show Candler Park some love! Volunteers will help improve walking trail at the headwaters of Lullwater Creek, support native plant growth and mulch a muddied path.

Your help is needed at the Morningside Nature Preserve! Volunteers will assist with hand-pulling and cutting invasive plants. Physical activity such as bending, pulling, lifting, and kneeling is required. Forest restoration can be physically strenuous – be ready to break a sweat and learn a lot while doing it!
