YOU can help protect the urban tree canopy! How? By managing and removing the invasive plant species in your park (or home garden) that might threaten to outcompete or otherwise smother trees.

Celebrate Georgia Arbor Day / Weekend by joining Park Pride and the Friends of Ashford Forest Preserve for a part invasive removal workshop / part volunteer workday on Saturday, February 19th. Experts, Jeff Dadisman, a Brookhaven Tree Canopy Preservation Manager, and Tim Daly, an Agriculture and Natural Resources Gwinnett County Extension Agent, will be sharing their expertise, demonstrating advanced techniques, and sharing take-home resources.

This workshop is ideal for people seeking advanced level invasive plant removal skills.

Please register through the form below.

In the meantime, review the Invasive Plant Removal 101 blog post by Michael Hudgins, a leader of the Friends of Riverside Park and owner / operator of Woods Keeper, LLC, for tips and strategies for managing invasives in your park.
