Second Friday Walk in the Park

March 14 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Use the form below to let us know you’re coming!

Name(Required)

Explore Atlanta’s hidden gems with Park Pride!

Join us on Friday, March 14 at 9 a.m. to explore the beauty of Constitution Lakes Park. The tour will be led by the Friends of Constitution Lakes and Park Naturalist Tasha Messer, and guests will hear stories about the park’s history and wildlife, leading to a deeper, more holistic understanding and appreciation of the park.

This 267-acre DeKalb County park was once the site of a brickyard, the lakes were created when water filled the clay excavation pits. The production of bricks ceased 50 years ago and nature has since restored the space to a wetland habitat capable of sustaining birds, fish, wildlife, and a wide range of plant species.

NOTE: Free parking is available in the parking lot. There is a paved trail and boardwalk from the parking lot to the lake. Other sections are natural surface or boardwalk.
