Deep Roots: Reconnecting to the Nature in your Backyard
Event Navigation
Atlanta is known as the “City in the Forest.” Our trees are iconic and fundamental for our city’s well-being and long-term sustainability. A large portion of our tree canopy with the greatest ecological value resides on the Southwest side of Atlanta so for that purpose, our discussion will focus on that area.
Join us for our FREE VIRTUAL Nature for All – Atlanta event on Tuesday, June 2nd from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. as we highlight the nature in our southwest Atlanta backyards like Cascade Springs Nature Preserve and Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve. We will discuss the value of these trees and we’ll share how you can get involved in protecting your community’s trees and understanding the City of Atlanta’s Tree Protection Ordinance.
