Park Ride: Connectivity on Atlanta’s Eastside
This tour is SOLD OUT!
This bike tour is organized in conjunction with Park Pride’s Parks & Greenspace Conference.
Jump on your bike and join Park Pride on this guided bike tour to explore the communities along Memorial Drive, an industrial area that is evolving into a diverse mixed-use urban corridor. Learn from planners, park advocates and local residents about how they’re working to create a walking and biking network across the communities by connecting greenspace and amenities.
In addition to the Memorial Drive Greenway, this tour will highlight efforts to connect Kirkwood, Edgewood and their neighborhood parks to the Atlanta BeltLine via a PATH trail along the Eastside Trolley Line Trail.
Stops will include:
- Oakland Cemetery,
- Memorial Drive Greenway,
- Coan Park,
- Gilliam Park, and
- Cabbagetown Park.
Please bring your own bike. This is an all-levels, no-drop ride… all levels of experience are welcome! Helmets are required. Approximate distance is 8 miles with some gradual hills.

P.S. This tour is being organized in conjunction with the Park Pride’s 16th Annual Parks and Greenspace Conference, Connecting with Parks, which will explore how parks and greenspace bridge gaps between individuals, communities, political jurisdictions, and ecosystems to become places of regional importance. The conference will take place on Monday, March 27th at the Atlanta Botanical Garden from 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. You’re invited to join us for a full day of networking with park enthusiasts who are driven to improve our greenspaces! Learn more.
