Pre-Application

The Pre-Application helps Park Pride better understand your proposed project and assess its readiness for funding. Submission of a Pre-Application does not guarantee an invitation to submit a Final Application. Projects selected to advance will be invited to participate in the next phase of the grant process.

Grant Amount Requested
How much money are you asking Park Pride to contribute? This can be the same as your total budget, or less if you expect other support to cover part of the cost. Some projects require a 1:1 match, while others do not. Your project's funding category (matching or non-matching) was confirmed by Park Pride staff in the email inviting your group to submit a Pre-Application.
Will your project include matching support such as public contributions, volunteered time, donated goods/services, or raised funds in addition to the Park Pride grant?

Community Investment
Briefly describe the sources of your matching support (cash, public investment, donated goods/services, and volunteer time) and indicate whether these contributions are already secured or still being raised. If fundraising is planned, provide a short summary of your strategy and timeline.

Community Letters of Support
Recommended letters of support include, but are not limited to, letters from your local neighborhood associations, NPU, and/or your City Council representative. At least one Letter of Support is required as part of the Final Application; however, projects that demonstrate broader community support through multiple letters from key stakeholders tend to be more competitive for funding.

Is your park located in a Qualified Census Tract? Follow this link and enter your park address. Then select the radio button for "Color QCT Qualified Tracts." If your park is within the purple boundaries, your group may qualify for a grant that covers more than 50% of total project costs.
