Use the form below to let us know you’re coming!
Stroll with Park Pride!
Join us on Friday, December 12, at 9 am for a one-hour walk at Rodney Cook Sr. Park, led by the Alliance for Cook Park and Jay Wozniak from the Trust for Public Land! We’ll explore the stunning 16-acre park that blends nature, history and innovation. During the walk, we’ll learn about the park’s state-of-the-art stormwater capture and filtration system, which plays a vital role in reducing flooding and restoring resilience to the Vine City neighborhood. Our guides will also share stories that honor the rich civil rights legacy and neighborhood pride that shaped this space into a model for environmental stewardship and stormwater infrastructure.
Light refreshments will be provided (while supplies last) by Capital B News, who will also be joining us! If you haven’t already seen their latest piece, be sure to check out the article “Atlanta Neighborhood Turns Flood Zone Into a Park that Protects Homes” to learn more about Rodney Cook Sr. Park.
NOTE: Use the address 285 Walnut St NW, Atlanta, GA 30314. This address is across the street from the bridge entrance where we will meet. Street parking is available, and we will meet on the bridge.
