Virtual Informed Advocates Session: Understanding Atlanta’s City Budget – Parks & Transportation

Details

Date:
May 16
Time:
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Event Category:

The City of Atlanta is now holding budget briefings, and we want you to be an Informed Advocate! In collaboration with the Center for Civic Innovation and Propel ATL, we’re hosting an Informed Advocacy Session to make the budget more digestible and easier to understand.

Our session will begin with an overview of the City Budget, followed by a breakdown of sections related to the Department of Parks and Recreation (covered by Park Pride) and the Department of Transportation (covered by Propel ATL).

We will explore opportunities to make the budgeting process more transparent and to advance a vision for our City that includes exceptional parks and greenspaces and a world class transportation network. We will provide you with information on the proposed budget, invite you to attend the city’s briefings (at City Hall or virtually) and help you understand the way money is being spent while providing some context to the numbers.

Join us for this opportunity to become an Informed Advocate! Click here to register for the virtual session.
