City Nature Challenge @ Lionel Hampton–Beecher Hills Nature Preserve

April 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

You’re invited to take part in the City Nature Challenge — an annual four-day global bioblitz!

Join Intown GNPS board members Vanessa Miot (who is also Park Pride’s Senior Friends of the Park Manager!) and Laura Qadri on Sunday, April 26, at 1pm for a guided walk at Lionel Hampton–Beecher Hills Nature Preserve to explore, observe, and document the plants and wildlife that shape this unique urban habitat. This walk is designed to welcome both seasoned naturalists and those just beginning their journey. Children and adults alike are encouraged to participate and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.

This event is free, but registration is required. Click here for more info and to register.

About the City Nature Challenge: Started in 2016 as a competition between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their own cities. Run by the Community Science teams at the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and coordinated locally in metro Atlanta by the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the CNC is an annual four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities collaborate to see what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal.
