Quarterly Clean-ups at Murphey Candler Park
Join the Friends of Murphey Candler Park to conduct periodic maintenance of the park, including: trail / pavilion clean-up, causeway clean-up, invasive removal, clean-up of lake trash via canoe, and other special projects! Volunteers should meet at the County Corner Field on West Nancy Creek Dr. and Candler Lake East. Thanks for coming out for the greener good of Murphey Candler Park!

Atlanta Audubon Society Bird Walk Field Trip: Murphey Candler Park
Join the Atlanta Audubon Society on this field trip to Murphey Candler Park! The three main habitats at Murphey Candler Park – lake, wetlands, mixed woods – provide good species diversity. Participants will look for winter residents, including raptors, waterfowl, waders and passerines. The site is also reliable for turtles.This site can be especially good for beginning birders. Murphey Candler Park Conservancy Volunteer Day

Fabulous Fungi Walk
Join Park Pride, PARC Brookhaven, and the Mushroom Club of Georgia for a morning filled with learning about fungi and how to cultivate edible mushrooms. Sam Landes, Treasurer of the Mushroom Club of Georgia, will lead the participants in a fungi overview followed by a walk through the forest and wetlands identifying and collecting fungi.
