Park Pride in 15 Frames

Founded in 1989, Park Pride is celebrating its 25th year working with neighborhoods all over Atlanta to improve local parks and advocate for increased greenspace.

This photo gallery was designed specifically to honor and commemorate Park Pride’s 25th Anniversary, to recognize the dedication of the Friends of the Park groups, and to thank community and corporate volunteers that have collectively contributed more than 500,000 volunteer service hours to parks through Park Pride’s Volunteer Program.

Each photo depicts a facet of the work that Park Pride does with communities and in parks daily through the pursuit of our mission to “provide programs, funding and leadership to engage communities in developing and improving parks and greenspaces.” Additionally, some of the photos highlight the intrinsic benefits that parks bring to their neighborhoods.
