SUMMARY:Second Friday Walk in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever explored Lang-Carson Park\, a four-acre park nestled in the heart of the Reynoldstown neighborhood? If not\, it’s time to change that! \nJoin us on Friday\, October 11 at 9 a.m. for a one-hour walk at the park! Lang-Carson features a playground\, basketball courts and an open greenspace\, with more amenities on the way thanks to a 2024 grant from Park Pride. We will also be joined by a special guest\, District 5 Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari. \nThe Friends of Lang-Carson group is a great example of the impact of our Friends groups – having undergone the Park Visioning process\, receiving several rounds of grants for capital improvements and hosting many community events. Lang-Carson has truly become a town square for Reynoldstown. When we talk about the power of parks\, this is what we mean! \nBring your coffee and your walking shoes. We look forward to seeing you there! \nNOTE: Parking is available in the lot by the Recreation Center\, along with nearby street parking.

SUMMARY:Second Friday Walk in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Have you explored the new Northwoods Trail at Chastain Park? Come adventure with us! On Friday\, November 8 at 9 a.m.\, we’ll take a one-hour walk through the Northwoods Trail.  \nEarlier this year\, the Chastain Park Conservancy debuted the new trail network that winds through the woods and connects to historic pavilions and grills. The park has many recreational offerings\, but the Conservancy saw a need for free\, passive opportunities and walking trails – and the Northwoods Trail offers just that! Park Pride is proud to have awarded a grant that helped bring this project to fruition. \nClick here to check out historical photos of the space. \nNOTE: We’ll meet at 24 Chastain Memorial Parkway. Please park in the large gravel parking lot just next to the large grassy area. If you need help\, please call/text Vanessa at (404) 793-8590.
