Park Pride Grant Application Info Session #2 (Virtual)

Attendance at a Park Pride grant info session is mandatory for Friends of the Park groups interested in applying for a grant for a project of $10,000 or more for the 2023 grant cycle. Attendees will walk through Park Pride’s grant application forms step-by-step, discussing all of the requirements needed to submit a complete application. Fabulous Fungi Walk

Join Park Pride, PARC Brookhaven, and the Mushroom Club of Georgia for a morning filled with learning about fungi and how to cultivate edible mushrooms. Sam Landes, Treasurer of the Mushroom Club of Georgia, will lead the participants in a fungi overview followed by a walk through the forest and wetlands identifying and collecting fungi. Park Design Workshop (virtual event)

At this Park Design Workshop, local Friends of the Park groups will share designs for potential new signage for their parks. Attendees will learn about the process of working with a landscape architect or graphic designer to finalize the signs and the next steps the Friends groups must take to move forward to having the signs created and installed in their parks.
