DESCRIPTION:Did you know that playgrounds have more diverse users than any public space amenity? Or that half of all playground visitors are not children? Research shows that play provides the foundation for how humans learn and connect\, underscoring the importance of play spaces that are accessible to and inclusive of all ages and all abilities. \nIn this virtual Roundtable discussion\, Meghan Talarowski will share insights on the importance of accessibility to play\, types of innovative play spaces\, and how to incorporate more inclusive play into local greenspaces. We could not locate your form. \n  \nAbout the speaker\nMeghan Talarowski\, PLA\, ASLA\, CPSI\, is the founding director at Studio Ludo which focuses on play in four different areas: research\, advocacy\, design and safety/risk assessment. Meghan is an internationally recognized play expert who will share strategies for incorporating inclusivity in play environments. She has degrees in architecture and landscape architecture\, almost 20 years of experience in the design field\, is a licensed landscape architect\, and a certified playground safety inspector. Her research focuses on how the design of play environments impacts physical health and social behavior of children and caregivers.
